isiZulu.net is an attempt to build a modern Zulu-English online dictionary that anyone can contribute to. Besides the usual bidirectional lookups it offers automatic morphological decomposition, conjugation and phonetic spelling of Zulu words, translation of simple Zulu and English phrases, spell checking, and grammar and pronunciation basics.
If you mention the dictionary in a paper, lecture etc. please send me an advance copy. Communication is everything.
The website now runs on native dual-stack IPv4/IPv6.
The new forum URL is izn.fr.yuku.com. Registered users should have received a password reset e-mail from Yuku. Otherwise please follow this tutorial.
isiZulu.net is used as a reference work in the evaluation of a Lëtzebuergesch-German online dictionary at the AFRILEX Conference 2012.
You can add isiZulu.net as a search engine to browsers supporting OpenSearch (e.g. Firefox).
The dictionary offers a REST interface that returns JSON data. To use it you need an API key that you can request by e-mail.
There will be a talk about isiZulu.net given at the AFRILEX Conference in July. A Quantum of Fame. :-)
By popular request there is now a mobile website as well.
